Many cool Javascript tricks
A very cool webbased formbuilder was introduced featuring many cool Javascript tricks called Jotform.
This form builder lets you drag and drop widgets from a toolbox to your form and create a form just using your mouse!
Must See #01: Wayfaring.com

Rails on database?
On Joel on Software, there’s an article with some decent criticism on Ruby on Rails and how it can be improved.
Happy to see that David H. Hanson, Ruby on Rails’ creator, has posted a civilized reply
———-
Tomas Jogin pointed out to me that the article wasn’t written by Joel on Software but by an anonymous user. My apologies, but that explains why i didn’t get the tone of voice of the article. I’ve made some corrections to the article.
Formulieren en reset-buttons
Na wat rondvragen op macosx.nl , is mij nog steeds niet helemaal duidelijk waarom er in formulieren nog steeds gebruik gemaakt wordt van de befaamde “reset-button”.
Camino 1.0 - mini review
Mozilla power, Mac style
Mozilla has released 1.0 of its Camino Browser project. As a Mac user i’ve always been forced to use multiple browsers.
I’ve been satisfied with Apple’s Safari (my primary browser) ever since it’s been introduced. Firefox is my secondary browser, can’t let a browser with ugly UI widgets be my primary browser! I’ve never tried Camino before their 1.0 release (to be honest i expected Camino to suck).

I’ve always accepted that Safari has limited support for certain browser features and used Firefox to fill in the gaps. But I’d rather not!
Rails webserver setup
For me personally, the main thing that delayed me getting into rails or django development, was the webserver setup.
Let me explain a bit on how to configure your Apache VirtualHost directives so you can host your apps on subdomains on the fly without having to change your DNS or serversetup.
In the end’ll we’ll have apps running on subdomains such as http://myapp.rails.mydomain.com
Yahoo UI Library
Yahoo’s valentine gift to us developers ;)
And it’s a real gem too! Check out the Yahoo UI Library at the Yahoo Developer Network.
Lots of Goodies
The UI library comes with opensource components all ready for download. Check out this beauty for instance. I guess we don’t need Flash components for widgets like these anymore.
HCI continued
I’ve found some more videos on the new Xgl window server and there’s some pretty stuff in there.
I wonder if the elastic windows (XviD video) will give a more natural computer interaction feel. They’re taking their demo a little to the extreme but with moderation it might be good.
I had hopes for IE
I really had high hopes for IE. First of all they’re taking the community seriously, they’re talking with open-source project leads and they’re doing their best trying to repair the mess created by not sticking with standards (unfortunately this means a lot of extra “bug fix” bug-fixing for us webdevelopers but that’s alright).
meest invloedrijke website
Waarom? Wij vinden onze huidige trouwe klanten belangrijker dan nieuwe klanten. Nieuwe klanten werven is makkelijk, klanten voor altijd houden is andere koek.
WiFi Revolution
It’s exciting to see Google and Skype investing in a startup that is planning to spark a new revolution the coming years. The startup is called FON , and has the wild and genius idea to cover this planet with a WiFi network. If this idea gains critical mass (there are some hurdles to take) quite a few things will change for us. I’ve gone ahead and signed up to FON.
